Due to continued expansion, iCT4 Limited seek an ICT Helpdesk Engineer to join their team of dedicated professionals to provide support to schools and businesses in Cornwall and Devon.

  • Provide proactive remote support to our customers at all times, always considering the educational context of your decisions.
  • Provide occasional on-site support to our customers, covering other engineers or as part of a reduced timetable of your own schools
  • Maintain positive relationships with all key personnel and ensure a consistently high level of support.
  • Work with your colleagues to maintain internal knowledgebase systems and customer-facing support systems.
  • Provide support to the team with account management and business development opportunities.

Nature of Work Undertaken

The post-holder will be instrumental in taking our friendly and dynamic business forward, delivering remote support from our headquarters based in Pool, Cornwall. They will be involved in the day-to-day remote support service for our customers, undertaking all associated technical aspects of ICT support on behalf of the client. The role also encompasses aspects of computer and network repair and maintenance including servers and peripherals, either at our offices or occasionally undertaken on-site. This role may require some flexible working outside of office hours to cover some client requirements. As travel forms an occasional part of the role you must have a full driving license and access to a suitable vehicle (mileage can be reclaimed in line with the iCT4 expenses policy).

The Person

The successful candidate will demonstrate a passion for customer service, be able to manage their time effectively and must be self-starter, who is comfortable working alone as well as part of a team. They must be able to demonstrate a high level of interpersonal skills, a flair for technology and a history of excellent client relations. We are looking for a natural problem solver with a good working knowledge of Windows Server 2008/2012R2, Windows 7/8/10, Apple Mac OS X, iOS, Active Directory, Group Policy, networking and associated hardware. Experience supporting Capita SIMS .net along with working in an educational context is an advantage but not a pre-requisite as full training on our systems and those in use by the customers will be given.

This role has the potential to be part time, term-time only and/or flexible working to suit the mutual needs of the company and the post holder? Due to working with schools iCT4 will apply on behalf of the successful applicant for an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
